As a result of endless scrolling in the “Shorts” section of YouTube, many users have reported concerns regarding excessive screen time. According to gulfnews.com, there is now a new settings feature where you can limit Shorts viewing to zero minutes. With this setting turned on, YouTube users can stop viewing the Shorts tab altogether. This newly included feature significantly changes how one of the biggest platforms on the Internet works.

Short-form content was first popularized due to TikTok. It has caused billions of views on many videos and excellent user engagement rate. However, it also raised concerns regarding the decrease in attention spans amongst the users and excessive scrolling.

You can turn off the Shorts feature by clicking Settings –> Time Management –> Shorts Feed Limit
