Switzerland TaDA Residence Program 2026 (Fully Funded)

The TaDA Artist in Residence Programme, hosted in Arbon, Switzerland, invites artists and creatives to engage with the textile and design culture of Eastern Switzerland. The residency offers a collaborative environment where residents, six from Switzerland and six from abroad, can develop projects in various disciplines, including art, design, architecture, literature, and performing arts, with a strong emphasis on sustainability and innovation. The programme provides access to local textile companies, offering practical artistic work and applied research opportunities. Residents will present their work at the public event “TaDA Spinnerei,” engaging with experts and the public.

Eligibility

• Open to artists and creatives from all disciplines and nationalities
• Must have a demonstrated interest in the textile industry, textile culture, and sustainability
• The residents develop projects in the fields of art, design, architecture, literature, performing arts, or in interdisciplinary contexts.
• Good knowledge of English or German is required
• Basic technical knowledge of textile production is advantageous
• Projects should have a pronounced experimental approach and include a connection to the TaDA partners

  • Workspace in the former textile and engine factory Saurer AG (Kreativzentrum ZIK), shared with other residents.

Program Benefits

• Project Draft: Maximum 2 A4 pages with approximately 4 images illustrating the idea or process (e.g., sketches, technical drawings, other visual representations)

Application Process

1. Prepare Application Materials: Compile portfolio, project draft, and other required documents.
2. Submit Application: Complete the online application form and upload all materials.
3. Deadline: Applications must be submitted by September 15, 2025, 23:59 CEST.
4. Decision Announcement: Successful applicants will be notified in early December 2025.
5. Residency Period: Selected residents will undertake their projects during one of the specified residency periods in 2026.
