NC state graduate programs rank among nation’s best, education leads in North Carolina

North Carolina State University earned strong national recognition in the latest U.S. News & World Report graduate rankings, with its education, engineering, and computer science programs all placing highly and the College of Education leading the state in its field.

According to NC state university, North Carolina State University saw strong results in the latest U.S. News & World Report graduate school rankings, with several of its programs earning high national positions.

The College of Engineering remained steady at No. 28 in the nation, continuing its long-running presence among the top 30 graduate engineering programs in the United States. The computer science graduate program also improved its standing, moving up five places to No. 46, placing it within the top 50.

The highest-ranked program at NC State this year is the College of Education, which climbed to No. 26 nationally. This achievement also makes it the top-ranked graduate education program in North Carolina.

The rankings are based on factors such as academic reputation, student performance on entrance exams, and evaluations from peer institutions. However, not all academic fields are ranked every year, as some disciplines are excluded in certain cycles of the report.
