Applications for the central exam, participation in which is optional, began on March 23 and can be submitted until tomorrow via the “e-School” (e-Okul) system. Applications for students in public and private middle schools will be completed electronically by the student’s parent/guardian.

School administrations will also guide students and parents during the application process. Applications will be approved by school administrations by April 13.

Students studying abroad in schools not registered in the e-Okul Management Information System may also apply according to the principles outlined in the official guide.

These students must submit their application documents via embassies or consulates to the relevant email address by tomorrow. The original documents must reach the General Directorate of Measurement, Evaluation and Examination Services of the Ministry of National Education no later than April 17.

Students will be able to track the status of their applications electronically.

According to the guide, for the first time this year, students will be given a nutrition package during the break between the two exam sessions, containing a dried fruit oat bar, raisins, walnuts, and water.

Exam content

In the central exam under the LGS system, learning outcomes from the 8th-grade curriculum will be used as the basis.

Questions will measure skills such as reading comprehension, interpretation, drawing conclusions, problem-solving, analysis, critical thinking, and scientific reasoning.

In the first session, a total of 50 questions will be asked from Turkish, History of the Turkish Republic and Atatürkism, Religious Culture and Ethics, and Foreign Language, with 75 minutes allocated.

In the second session, a total of 40 questions will be asked from Mathematics and Science, with 80 minutes given.

Exam entry documents

Photo-bearing exam entry documents will be made available electronically from June 3, collected by school administrations, stamped and approved, and then delivered to students.

Students must bring both their photo-verified exam entry document and a valid identification document on exam day.

Exam results will be announced on July 10 on “meb.gov.tr”. Result documents will not be sent by post. Preference (choice) lists based on quotas will also be published on the same date.

Preference procedures will take place between July 13–24. Placement results and vacant quotas will be announced on August 5.

First and second “nakil” (transfer) preference applications and results will be conducted between August 5–14.
