Strong heatwaves in New Delhi have caused schools to take appropriate measures, according to dawn.com.

Educators are now required to start a “water bell” that will remind all school students to drink water every 60 minutes. Delhi education directorate also called for additional measures to address the weather situation in the country. Schools forbid to children to engage in outdoor activities and will host awareness situations regarding the heatwave issue. Students are also encouraged to “look out for each other” in current weather condition.

Additionally, the Directorate requested that schools post information about heatwave precautions publicly in classrooms, hallways, and notice boards and make sure that first aid and medical assistance are provided as soon as necessary.
