For thousands of expats moving to Germany every year, one of the biggest challenges is learning the German language. Whether settling in Berlin, Munich, Stuttgart, or smaller rural towns, even basic German skills can make everyday life significantly easier and help newcomers feel more at home.

DeutschMeister A1, a newly ZFU-certified online course developed by LiA – Lernen im Allgäu, offers a structured and flexible way for complete beginners to learn German. The course guides learners step by step from their first words in German to reaching A1 level, which is the first stage of the Common European Framework of Reference for Languages (CEFR). It focuses on everyday vocabulary, essential grammar, and practical communication skills needed for daily situations in German-speaking countries.

The course was created by Eva-Maria Schinko, a sworn translator and experienced language teacher with over 15 years in the field. She founded LiA in 2010 in Altusried, Bavaria, with the aim of providing high-quality, personalised language education for both local and international learners. DeutschMeister A1 continues this mission in a fully digital format, making her teaching expertise accessible worldwide.

To suit different learning preferences, the course is offered in three packages. The SOLO plan is designed for independent learners who want full access to all materials. The CONNECT plan includes live group sessions and access to a learning community for those who prefer interaction. The PRO plan offers the most personalised experience, combining full course access with one-on-one coaching directly from Eva-Maria Schinko.

All courses are delivered through a dedicated Moodle platform, ensuring a structured and professional learning environment. DeutschMeister A1 is also officially ZFU-certified (approval number 7566526), meaning it meets Germany’s strict standards for distance learning quality, content, and learner support.

For those unsure about committing, a free demo version is available on the Moodle platform after simple registration, with no payment or subscription required. Learners can explore the course structure before making a decision. Additionally, a free 20-minute consultation is available for personalised guidance on choosing the right plan.
