The new platform will be integrated into Azerbaijan’s national Digital School network and is expected to support more than 500,000 students across the country. The system will use OpenAI’s technology to provide students with personalised learning support based on their individual needs and progress.

According to officials, the platform will include adaptive diagnostics, in-class practice tools, and an AI tutor that can respond to students in real time. Teachers, school principals, and the Ministry will also be able to monitor student performance through real-time data and analytics provided by the platform. The project will first launch as a limited pilot programme before gradually expanding to more schools nationwide.

Officials said the rollout will remain aligned with Azerbaijan’s national curriculum and will include teacher oversight, regular evaluation, and data protection measures. The collaboration will also focus on developing Azerbaijan’s broader artificial intelligence ecosystem beyond the education sector.

The Ministry of Digital Development and Transport will work with OpenAI on initiatives such as hackathons, Build Days, and research and development programmes aimed at encouraging AI innovation in the country.

The partners say the initiative aims to position Azerbaijan as a regional hub for AI-driven technologies and digital solutions.
